Head-Fi’s Canjam
Next to the European Canjam’s we’ve been covering for a few years now, Head-Fi actually has been doing their own series of official Canjam Events since 2006 or so.
“CanJam Global is the premier headphone and personal audio expo and is produced by Head-Fi.org, the world’s largest website for headphone and personal audio enthusiasts. Since 2006, CanJam events have been a community showcase for Head-Fi.org, as well as the best opportunity for exhibitors to share new product releases and have meaningful interactions with the enthusiast community and audio industry press.”
What started as a USA exclusive event, now after a few years has turned in to something bigger: A world wide series of shows. Head-fi, with Ethan Opolion as the main man behind it, created a whole new concept around these shows and so Canjam Global saw the light. Canjam Global so far has done successful shows in Singapore and Southern California and now London and Rocky Mountain are up next. I had the pleasure of meeting Ethan at High-End Munich a few months ago, and if he says the show will be great, I truly believe it will be great.

The London event – during the weekend of August 13 and 14 – will be held at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in central London with the main sponsors being Noble, Echobox and Hifi+ and a whole lot more. Exhibiting will be many of the industry’s leading brands including Sennheiser, Focal, Beyerdynamic, Shure, Ultrasone, Hifiman, Audeze, Etymotics, JH Audio, Chord Electronics and so many more. A one day tickets cost you £10 but believe me you will want to go there for the full weekend. There are just so many things to see and try that you can’t possibly “do” them all on one day, weekend ticket goes for £15.
Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it to London as I’ll be in Amsterdam myself but I look forward to all the show reports.
