Specifications
For the nit-pickers and nerdy ones here, I’m giving the specs and technical sheets . For all the others, you can just go to the next page to see how the IT01S performs.
DiNaTT Dynamic Driver
The iBasso IT01S comes with one dynamic driver only. It uses a DiNaTT Dynamic driver which stands for :
– Diamond-Like Coating (DLC)
– Domed Nanotube Diaphragm
– Tesla Magnetic Flux
iBasso claims that new driver has the worlds thinnest Carbon Nanotube dome diaphragm at 3.8 nanometers. This means the diaphragm can be driven more easily and allows the IEM to broaden its frequency range, even if the driver is already 10mm wide.
The Diamond Carbon Coating dome is announced as the stiffest dome up to this date, allowing better transient response, stability and improved treble range. Of course, a stiffer dome means it’s harder to break, so iBasso had to use a stronger magnet for his driver.
The magnet inside the iBasso IT01S driver is a new high Tesla Magnetic Flux capable of delivering almost 1 Tesla of flux. It’s an upgraded version of the previous IT01 driver and this should improve resolution, bass, dynamics and speed, once combined with the new membrane.
We’ll see how this translates, sonically speaking.

What you recommend between this and de fiio 9 pro, i listen classic rock, funk, disco, deep house, etc. thanks…

Thank you for fantastic review. How would you compare IT01s to LZ-A4? I can get them both in good price and can’t decide. I’m looking for fun sounding signature to use them on daily basis, with lg v30.

Hi, I am a happy use of these iems but unlike you I always get a background noise that is annoying with the kind of music I listen to (jazz, classical, flamenco…). So I use a iFi earbuddy, which is great, but then I worry about loosing some texture and details. Any advice?
